We have some GREAT news for you!
John 3:16 Mission has met its $8.3 million goal to construct a multi-building residential recovery campus called, The Refuge, for homeless men and women in our community!
Ground was broken at the The Refuge site May 4 to mark the beginning of the building phase of the campaign. It was a cool, damp afternoon but hearts were warm, spirits were high, and the shovels were ready. Donors, dignitaries, and Mission clients were joined by Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum as he and others shared their enthusiasm for the construction of a first-class, Christian, residential-recovery center for the homeless.
When complete, The Refuge campus will have a men’s recovery center (for 80 men), a women’s recovery center (for 30 women), a work training/administrative center and a donations Distribution center.
It has only been through YOUR generous contributions and those of many other likeminded people that made this long-awaited moment possible. We look forward to sharing with you the ongoing process of construction of the new facilities in the months to come!
