Meeting Holiday Needs

With Your Help, Thousands Will Be Fed

When you give to the Mission, your gifts make it possible to serve holiday meals to people experiencing the most difficult times of their lives. Frequently, these meals are the first step on the journey to full recovery from homelessness through one of the Mission's programs.

John 3:16 Mission's Thanksgiving Banquet for the Homeless -- made possible by your gifts! -- allowed THOUSANDS of hungry Tulsans to celebrate this holiday in a safe and dignified environment! Traditional Thanksgiving meals featuring turkey, dressing, potatoes, corn, beans and pumpkin pie (among other items) were served each evening at the Mission's overnight shelter while nearly 6,000 Thanksgiving Food Baskets were distributed to families in need. In all, over 24,000 people received the help they needed over the Thanksgiving holiday.

The Mission will continue to meet the needs of the homeless and hungry throughout the Christmas holiday season! Thank you for your generous support on behalf of our struggling Tulsa neighbors!

Taking Safety Precautions

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Mission has taken special precautions to ensure that all homeless guests as well as staff and volunteers are kept as safe as possible during meal times. These steps include extra spacing in the dining hall, multiple meal times, cleaning of surfaces between meal times and extra vigilance to make sure potentially infected persons are quarantined.

This holiday season (Nov-Dec), John 3:16 Mission expects to serve more than 35,100 meals to our community's hungry and homeless men, women and children.

Every day, up to 550 meals are prepared to meet the needs of those who come to the Mission's doors at 506 N. Cheyenne Ave.
