Homeless Celebrate at Mission
These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you and your joy may be full. John 15:11
Joy is often in short supply if you are homeless. That’s why John 3:16 Mission with YOUR help, puts on the Birthday Party for the Homeless every year.
This year’s party was held March 8 and more than 200 homeless men, women and children attended for an evening of food, fun, prizes and games.
The event featured games, gifts and prizes (bus passes, backpacks, socks, candy among other items). Generous donors made it possible to award two bicycles to lucky winners.
Special thanks goes again to Andolini’s Pizza for donating their amazing pizza for the occasion! The pizza was a huge hit as well as cake and ice cream.

We also want to thank the hundreds of caring Tulsans who sent in birthday cards that were given to the homeless guests. There were so many cards with many words of love and encouragement.We watched as the guests read the cards while eating and more than a few tears were shed. Thank you for making it an extra special day for the homeless!
